DAILY LIVING
DAILY LIVING
Activities of daily living, or ADLs, are things that most people do every day or simply basic activities people do on daily basis. They may include things like; eating and drinking, washing and dressing, moving about, taking prescribed medication, sleeping, and communicating with loved ones or professionals. Our dedicated team is specially trained in this and they can support you to achieve them.
Things we do every day (ADLs)
These are the most important skills we learn as young children for taking care of ourselves. “Basic Activities of Daily Living” is another name for them (BADLs). They include:
Walking or using other methods to get around the house or outside.
Feeding means being able to get food from a dish into one’s mouth.
Dressing and grooming mean choosing, putting on, and taking care of one’s clothes and hair.
Toileting means going to and from the bathroom, using it correctly, and cleaning up afterward.
